Elmer S. Neill, 89, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, in the Willows at Bellevue.
He was born July 13, 1924, in Bellevue, to Swaze Elliott and Clara Rose (Biebecher) Neill.
Elmer graduated from Bellevue High School in 1942 and was a farmer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue.
On May 26, 1946, he married Phyllis (Swartzmiller) and she survives in Bellevue. Also surviving are their children, Ron (Pat) Neill of Bellevue, and Patti Neill of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Laurie (Roger) Hunker, John (Judi) Neill, Ronda (Clint) Minniear, and Mike (Kelley) Neill; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Ball of Bellevue; and two nephews, James T. Ball, and Gary (Shirley) VanKirk.
In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by his sister, Edna VanKirk.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., at the church, with Rev. Juli Lejman-Guy officiating. Burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Preschool, or Stein Hospice.
