Robert E. Justi, age 86, residing in Monroeville, passed away late Sunday evening, Sept. 1, 2013, in the Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk, following a brief illness.
He was born March 27, 1927, in Oxford Township, to Alvin and Alma (Rohrbacher) Justi.
He was a 1946 graduate of Sandusky High School. Robert retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1990 after 43 years of service and was a lifelong farmer.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rita (Hausman) whom he married Oct. 4, 1952; three daughters, Pamela Justi of Castalia, Bonnie Yurkovich of North Royalton, Ohio, and Roberta Kessler of Milan; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Wesley Justi of Monroeville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Including his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one brother, Erlin Justi.
Friends may call 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 S. Main St., Milan. Friends may also call 10 a.m Thursday, Sept. 5, until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 106 Scheid Road, Sandusky. The Pastor Bill Hlavin will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
