Garry W. Hensley, 51, of Sandusky died Saturday night, Feb. 20, 2010, in Elmwood Healthcare at the Springs in Green Springs.
He was born Dec. 24, 1958, in Manchester, Ky., and graduated from EHOVE Career Center in 1977. He worked for Sandusky Cabinets and was an avid pool player. He enjoyed playing cards and going fishing. Garry was an exceptional cook also.
He is survived by his mother, Geneva (Renus) Gibbs of Sandusky; stepfather, Vernon Howell of Kentucky; grandson, Navon McCormick; two stepdaughters, Jessica McCormick and Jennifer Lauber of Huron; three sisters, Lois (Johnny) Reed of Sandusky, Bonnie (David) Sizemore of Sandusky and Betty Howell of Kentucky; brother, Alex (Chevy) Howell of Kentucky; five stepsisters, Melanie (David) Mills, Melinda (Jeff) Lewis and Angie (Jerry) David, all of Kentucky, Mona Gibbs and Rhonda (Shawn) Garrison; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Garry was preceded in death by three brothers, Victor, Vernon and Vernon Howell Jr.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Benjamin Patrick will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
