John Brian “C.J.” Dennis, 47, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 20, 1965, in Alliance, Ohio, and was a graduate of Sebring McKinley High School in Sebring, Ohio, and from Culinary Arts School at Hawking Tech. He was employed by A.J. Bait in Port Clinton as minnow boat captain, an executive chief for the Radisson Inn, and owned and operated CJ’S Bait.
C.J. loved fishing, hunting, sports, was an avid Cowboy fan, and loved listening to the Cavs and Indians on the radio.
He is survived by his daughter, Domonique Dennis, of Sandusky; father, John R. Dennis, sisters, Jill Dennis and Becky (Kyle) Billingsley, brother, Jeff (Lisa) Dennis, all of Sebring; former wife, Carla, Rochester, N.Y.; nieces and nephews; and his companion, Seige.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace (Campbell) Dennis; daughter, Jasmyne; maternal and paternal grandparents; and an aunt.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, until memorial services at noon at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
