Patricia J. "Patty" Lang, 70, of Sandusky, passed away after a brief illness early Tuesday evening, Aug. 20, 2013, surrounded by her family in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
She was born Oct. 3, 1942, in Ontario, Ohio, daughter of the late Albert and Lucille (Zediker) Sauer. She was a 1960 graduate of Ontario High School. Patty owned and operated the Corners Bar for more than 20 years and she was always the life of the party! In her earlier days, she was one "HECK" of a dancer.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren, but she especially loved traveling with her fiance, Harold "Sonny" Schonhardt, throughout these past years.
Patty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, AMVETS and the Four County Pool League for many years.
She is survived by her family, Bill (Deni) Lang, Angie Schaffer, Ron "Willie" (Tracy) Lang and Wendy Silcox-Zellner; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Derek, Chas, Cortney, Kyle, Alexa, A.J. and Kayla; great-granddaughter, Emma; brother, Ed (Madeline) Sauer; fiance, Harold A. "Sonny" Schonhardt; former husband, Ron Lang; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Cheri Goble and Barbara Glass; and great-niece, Emily.
Visitation will from 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, until the funeral service at noon at David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Venice Cemetery, Margaretta Township.
