Charlotte Thompson, 84, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Elkhart, Ind., daughter of the late Dewey and Marie Elizabeth (Wallace) Weaver. Charlotte was a long-time office manager at Flat Rock Children’s Home, retiring in 2009 after 40 years of service.
Her life was truly a testimony of her faith and was cherished by all who knew her. She was a member of Bellevue Assembly of God, volunteered at Fish and Loaves, had a nursing home ministry and was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her children, Brent Thompson, of Sandusky, Debbie Lange, of Sandusky, Nancy Washburn, of Bellevue, Tim Thompson, of Bellevue, Craig (Diane) Thompson, of Mentor, Ohio, Lou Anne (Gary) Shrewsbury, of Woodville, Ohio, and Steve (Laura) Thompson, of Bellevue; grandchildren, Ali Lange, Kelly Zolman, Erica Washburn, Amy Walters, Nate Shrewsbury, Andy Shrewsbury, Zach Thompson and Alex Thompson; stepgrandchildren, Robbie Smith and Emily Coots and Scott Washburn; a great-grandson, Jackson Zolman; and stepgreat-grandchildren stepgreat-grandchildren, Kevin Coots, Zack Coots, Cassie Shuff, Isaiah, Ethan, Cory James and Trey Washburn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Roger Washburn, and an infant grandson and her stepgrandson, Cory Washburn.
Friends will be received 6-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, and from 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, until a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 7500 N. County Road 29, Flat Rock. Craig Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery
