Donald Bledsoe, 76, of Huron, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born July 26, 1934, in Tom's Creek, Va., and was a resident of Huron since 1950. He worked first for Vulcan Materials, Sandusky, and became a millwright and then went to work for Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, and retired in 1996. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He was a member of the Huron Eagles and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by a son, Ronald (Debbie) Bledsoe of Huron; a grandchild, Heather (Chris) Grooms; a great-grandchild, Olivia Grooms; a stepgrandchild, Kimberly Woodruff; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Rasnick of Huron, Lucille (Estel) Payne of Florida, and Janice Smith of Sandusky; and a brother, Winfield (Flo) Bledsoe of Huron.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Chicotel) Bledsoe; a son, Donald Bledsoe; parents, Lloyd and Saddie (Taylor) Bledsoe; and a stepgrandson, Donald Harkey.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Stein Hospice Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
