Evelyn M. Denslow, 88, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at her home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Sandusky daughter of the late Johanna (Borsick) and John Russell. A homemaker, Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was very active in her faith and was a member of Father's Heart Church, Sandusky.
Evelyn is survived by four sons, Thomas (Nancy) Denslow of Vermilion, Robert (Monica) Denlow of Huron and Doug (Jane) Denslow and Randy (Faith) Denslow of Sandusky; nine grandchildren, John "Russ", Kolleen, Joy, Judy, Steve, Darlene, Katie, Andrew and Christopher; five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Anthony, Jordan, Douglas and Nathan; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Denslow in 1982; parents; and brothers, Robert, James and Richard Russell.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Father's Heart Church, Central and Tyler streets, Sandusky. Pastor Tony Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
