Doris M. Tressler, 99, formerly of Clyde, died in Bellevue Care Center Monday, Aug. 19, 2013.
Doris was born in Green Springs, June 15, 1914, to Chancy and Vida (Crumb) Blodgett. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1932.
She was a member of Clyde Christian Church. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband, fishing, crocheting, and was known for her delicious pies.
On Sept. 15, 1934, she married Chelcher E. Tressler, he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1997.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Willie) Fultz of Clyde; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Laura Joseph of Clyde, Lucy Malone of Michigan, Maggie Gries of Bellevue; and one brother, Dale Blodgett of Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Bonnie Killian on Nov. 21, 1994; three brothers, Merle Blodgett, Alton Blodgett, Don Blodgett; and two sisters, Hazel Wadsworth, and Ruth Hauker.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
