Alvin L. Stovall, 67, Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 17, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 13, 1942, in Sandusky. Alvin worked for Firelands Regional Medical Center, and loved to do odd jobs. He was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age.
He is survived by his children, David Clark of Cleveland, Gregg (Heather) Warner of Fort Wayne, Ind., Dorian Cochran of Philadelphia, Tonya Stovall and Stephanie Stovall, both of Columbus, and Shalanda Harris of Cleveland; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Bernell (Stovall) Ray; siblings, Jerry Stovall, Thomas Stovall and Louise Cunningham, all of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Marquan Stovall; father, Thomas Jerry Stovall; and brother, Ronald Stovall.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday until funeral services at noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. The Rev. Clayton E. Howard will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
