Thomas E. Ross

Thomas E. Ross, of Norwalk, died Thursday,  Aug. 8, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born April 2, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio, and moved to the Norwalk area in the early 80's. Tom worked as a salesman most of his life, most recently at Friendship Food Mart in Norwalk.

Tom was a life long New York Yankee fan. He played semi-pro baseball near Mt. Vernon, Ohio, when he was younger, and coached and refereed basketball for close to 20 years. He was also an avid golfer and loved country music and singing Karaoke.

He is survived by his father, James Ross of Mansfield; son, Brandon Ross of Norwalk; daughter, Stephanie Crist of Crestview, Fla.; brothers Jim and Jeff Ross of Mansfield; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Ross.

A memorial service in Thomas's honor is planned for a later date.


What a nice man. I remember him working for 7 up and also for the Sandusky Register at one time.
Tom , you will be missed , I remember when you did shows with Johnny R in sandusky and also when you worked at the freindship station in Sandusky . You will and your voice will be missed . You were in a class of your own
