Terry L. Wiggins, 62, of Sandusky passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, July 12, 2010, at his home.
Born in Sandusky, June 17, 1948, the son of Francis L. and Violet J. (Koch) Wiggins, Terry attended St. Mary's High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. having served during the Vietnam war.
Terry worked for more than 20 years at Stowe-Woodward and later worked as a valet at Kalahari Resort and at Lorain Community Partners Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, riding his bike and going on walks. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Terry also volunteered his time helping veterans and at nursing homes.
Terry was attending The Chapel and was a member of American Legion Post 83 and AMVETS Post 17.
He is survived by his wife, Connie L. (Wildenthaler) Wiggins, whom he married Dec. 22, 1988; son, Jerome A. (Jacklynn) Wiggins of Sandusky; daughter, Christine (Erik) Marshall of Sandusky; three grandchildren, Katelynn, Livia and Jagar; brother, Dale A. (Kathy) Wiggins of Sandusky; sister, Anna Lawrence of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Francis L. and Violet J. (Koch) Wiggins.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Following visitation, at his request, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky; the Rev. Dave Brown will officiate. Inurnment will be in Ridgeview Columbarium of Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
