Mark D. Zura, 47, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013.
Mark was born Jan. 3, 1966, in Fremont to Daniel J. and Lynne (Disrude) Zura. He was a 1984 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and then graduated from The Ohio State University. After being a mortgage broker for many years, he recently became self employed and was soon to move to Costa Rica. In 2006, he moved back to Fremont to be closer to his family.
Mark enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, traveling and scuba diving. He also enjoyed Ohio State and the Denver Bronco’s football and loved spending time with his family and his dog, Rupert.
Surviving in addition to his dog Rupert, is his mother; sisters, Allison Zura, of Lakewood, Ohio, and Leanne (Carl) Harrison, of Stow, Ohio; nieces, Zoe Zura and Emma Harrison; nephew, Elias Wright; aunts and uncles, JoAnn Miller, of Sandusky, Richard Zura, of Bay View, Sue (Ed) Moxley, of Vickery, Steve (Diane) Disrude, of Texas, and Anne Disrude, of Jersey City, N.J.; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in January of 2007.
A Celebration of Mark’s life will be 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Heineman’s Winery, Put-in-Bay.
