Marlene J. Windau, 63, of Vickery and formerly Sandusky passed away Thursday morning, July 1, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 29, 1947, in Sandusky. Marlene owned and operated the Movie Express in Sandusky for many years. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and meeting at The Depot for coffee.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla (Joseph) Dupont of Vickery; four grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Carly and Benjamin Dupont; mother, Viola Spring of Sandusky; twin sister, Darlene (Carlos) Bledsoe, and sister, Lois (Bill) Huff, both of Sandusky; brothers, Duane (Nancy) Spring of Largo, Fla., Bruce (Carol) Spring of Castalia, Delbert (Becky) Spring, Luther "Bud" Spring and Ronald (Ellen) Spring, all of Sandusky; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Windau, Sept. 16, 2008; father, Isaac Spring, in 1992; sister, Judy, in 2009; and brother, Larry, in 2005.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
