Elizabeth “Bette” Cole, 83, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at The Arbors of Clyde.
She was born March 29, 1926, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, daughter of the late Bob L.W. and Mary (Gilmour) Davis.
Bette was a retired hairdresser and owner of The Beauty Corner in Bellevue.
She was a member and past treasurer of Bellevue Eagles Aerie 490 Auxiliary, and a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary in Bellevue. She enjoyed reading, socializing, gardening and the out doors.
Survivors include her son, Michael S. (Mary) Cole of Huron; daughters, Michelle (James) Burkett of Racine, Wis., and Marilyn (Ed) Sieger of Bellevue; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Howard Cole, whom she married Jan. 19, 1946, in Vancouver, Wash.; her son, Mark R. Cole; her parents; her sister, Nancy Lepley; and her brother, Hugh Davis, preceded her in death.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. Wednesday until services at 1 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
