Ronald Fox, 74, of Sandusky, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 5, 2013, in Admiral’s Pointe Nursing Homes following a brief illness.
He was born July 30, 1939, in Sandusky, son of the late Albert and Marian (Werner) Fox. Ron was a 1957 graduate of Sandusky High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He began his career at Sandusky Motor Sales and retired from Mathews Ford after 51 years of service. He was also the owner and operator of Ron’s Golf Cart Sales & Service for 43 years.
Ron was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and American Legion Sandusky Post 83. He enjoyed taking trips to Amish Country and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. His greatest joy was going out to eat with his friends.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda (Grubbe) Fox; his daughter, Amy (Jim) Nasby, of Sandusky; grand dog, Collins; sister, Kathy (Joe) Loris, of Sandusky; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Candi Grubbe, of Berlin Heights; best friends, Henry and Janet Riggs, of Sandusky; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by one nephew.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9. The Rev. John Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
