Kenneth D. Wargo, 68, of Norwalk, died July 23, 2013, after a lengthy illness in Bellevue Hospital.
He was born Oct. 19, 1944, in Newnan, Ga. Ken was a graduate of New London High School, and was a 100 percent service related disabled veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam. Ken was a proud, life member of Firelands Post 2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Norwalk.
Ken was a former security guard for Pinkerton Security at Sandusky Plastics. He worked in various positions for the Norwalk Reflector. Ken also worked as a machinist at Brooker Brothers in Norwalk.
Ken is survived by his wife, Anna (Hupp) Wargo, of Norwalk; his daughter, Laura Wargo, of Arlington, Texas; his mother, Annie Sue Wargo, of Norwalk; one grandchild, Cecilia Wargo-Stevens; his sisters, Gloria Howard, of Norwalk, and Sandy Weisenberger, of Laporte, Mich.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, until a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Following Ken's memorial service, at 3:45 p.m. there will be a reception at First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk.
