Marie R. Fisher, 92, of Clyde, died in University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, on Saturday, July 27, 2013.
Marie was born in Clyde on Jan. 24, 1921, to John and Gertrude (Hoffman) Beier.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1939, and from St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1942. Marie had been a nurse at Memorial Hospital, Sandusky County Health Department, and parochial schools in the area.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde, and Townsend Friendly Neighbors Farm Bureau.
On June 7, 1947, she married Leo Fisher. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2007.
Survivors include their six children, Jane (Tim) Smith of Sandusky, Janet Celek (Tom Haslinger) of Fremont, Gary (Lori) Fisher of Clyde, Teresa Quick of Fremont, Steven (Mary Ellen) Fisher of North Olmstead, and Mark Fisher (Glenda Gray) of Clyde; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marian Pfieffer-Mariotti of Vickery.
In addition to her parents and her husband, her brothers, Norman Beier, and Donald Beier preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, with Christian Wake services at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 1, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde, with Rev. Ed Schleter officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
