Elizabeth Barber, 86, of Sandusky, died Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born Sept. 18, 1926, in McMechen, W.Va., and graduated from Union High School, where she was a drummer in the band. Elizabeth was a hair stylist in New York City for many years, and then taught hair dressing at a hair academy.
She was a member of the Gideons International and she loved to ride horses.
She is survived by her husband, Buford Barber; daughter, Rebecca (Thomas) Higham; grandson, Travis Higham; great-grandchild, Brooklin Higham; and two brothers, P.D. Randolph and James Randolph.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Smith; parents, Darius and Ethel (Burke) Randolph; and sisters, Virginia Gayda and Corinne Markle.
Family services will take place in the chapel at the Commons of Providence, Sandusky. Burial will be at a later date.
