Jimmy E. Durrett, 59, Vickery, passed away Monday morning, July 15, 2013, at the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky, after a lengthy struggle.
He was born Aug. 1, 1953, in Port Clinton, to George Edward and Lona Margaret (Todd) Durrett.
Jimmy attended the Sandusky Church of God. He loved to cook, loved his dogs, loved John Wayne, loved watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns, and, above all else, loved spending time with his family.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Anna (Fitzthum) Durrett, whom he married Sept. 14, 1994; son, John Jones of Vickery; sisters, Janice (Earl) King of Sandusky, and Glenda (Jim) Webb of Louisa, Ky.; nieces and nephew, Amanda, Vickie, and Dwayne; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, until time of memorial services at 10:30 a.m., at Sandusky Church of God, 1018 W. Bogart Road, Sandusky. A luncheon at the church will immediately follow the service. Private burial will take place at a later date at Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy’s name to his family.
