Donna Jean Yount went to be with the Lord at the home of her daughter in Oak Ridge, Tenn., on July 10, 2013.
She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Morristown, Tenn., and was retired from Morristown Hamblen Hospital after more than 20 years of service. Prior to moving to Morristown, she resided in Castalia for many years.
She was preceded in death by Reece, her husband of 32 years; her sister, Dolores Edwards; a grandson, Cooper Blake Yount; and her parents, George Leming, and Victor and Bessie Shinn.
Surviving family includes her children, Roger C. (Debbie) Yount, of Maumee, Ohio, Patricia J. (Ken) Knox, of Streamwood, Ill., Christine M. (Billy) Roberts, of Oak Ridge, and Jason A. (Neely) Yount, of Mt. Pleasant, N.C.; grandchildren, Dawn Yount, Jeremy Yount, Chell Kowalski, Jessica Mason, Ashton Fiorucci, Stephen Fiorucci, Amber Roberts, Lauren Heintz, Jase Yount, Keen Yount; nine great-grandchildren; and special longtime friends, Mary Jane McGlothin, Donna Kesterson and Phylis Riddley-Newman.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, July 13, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home, where funeral services are planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14. The Rev, Danny Georges will officiate and music will be provided by Gary Porthress. Interment will immediately follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
