Neil H. Nottke, 87, Huron, died Monday, July 8, 2013, in Parkvue Healthcare Center, Sandusky.
He was born April 24, 1926, in Shinrock, Ohio.
Neil was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by Apex, Lay Brothers Fisheries, Ford Motor Co., Lorain Shipyards, Clevite, Dupont, and retired from Columbia Gas L&G. He owned and operated Firelands Archery Shop from 1950-1990.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Huron, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 83 in Sandusky, and bowled in the senior league at Cedar Lanes, and the Berlin Community League at Riverview Lanes.
He is survived by his son, Doug (Hope) Nottke, Huron; niece, Kay (Dave) Faetinini, Sandusky; and nephew, Fred (Sue) Nottke, Berlin Twp.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion, in 2007; parents, Clifton and Carrie (Sprankel) Nottke Sr.; and brother, Clifton Nottke Jr.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 12 at the funeral home. Pastor Mandy Oleson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
