Charlotte M. Branum, 96, of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at her son’s residence in Parma, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born April 4, 1917, in Lima, Ohio, to Jessie and Blanche (Railing) Cotner. On Feb. 22, 1941, in Port Clinton, she married Carl E. Branum and he preceded her in death on Sept, 4, 1985.
Charlotte was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Maggie) Branum, of Parma, and Barbara (David) Sorg, Ralph Branum, and Harlan Branum, all of Port Clinton; 16 grandchildren; many loving great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; son, Tom Branum; daughter-in-law, Juliann Branum; parents; and brothers, Floyd, Russell and Clarence Cotner.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St, Port Clinton, where a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8 conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Charlotte may be given to Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110 or the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Drive, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
