Marion Elizabeth "Mim" (Wall) Nuby was born July 23, 1919, in Oberlin, Ohio, to her loving parents, John and Miriam Wall. She accepted Christ at an early age. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, after a brief illness.
Marion graduated from Oberlin High School and married the love of her life, Walter Nuby. They shared 70 years of a marriage for the ages. From this union two daughters were born, Honey J. Eppse and Dee-Dee Marie Nuby.
She began her work career at the Philco Company and then moved on to be a farmer’s wife, which was a full-time job, year-round. Marion was quite a farmer in her own right working side by side with her husband Walter and father-in-law William Nuby. She even had her own personal John Deere tractor, better known as the “Mule.”
Marion truly enjoyed being with family and friends, going to the movies, watching soap operas and shopping with her daughters at all the malls they could find. When she was not shopping you could find her working on her favorite word puzzles.
Marion leaves to cherish her memory her truly devoted husband, Walter; two loving daughters, Honey and Dee-Dee; grandson, Damien Esppe; two great-grandchildren, Kazmiere and Camden; her brother, James (Dorothy) Wall; a sister, Margaret "Peg" Campbell; a special niece, Susan and her husband, Edward Washington; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents, John and Miriam Wall, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where additional calling will be from 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, until a funeral service at noon. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
