Susan A. (Ohlemacher) Ridgeway, 54, of Sandusky, lost her battle early Monday evening, June 24, 2013, in MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland.
She was born Jan. 24, 1959, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Marvin Robert and Patricia Ann (McLaughlin) Ohlemacher. She was a 1978 graduate of Perkins High School. Susan worked as a nurses aide for 18 years for a variety of local nursing homes. She also had worked at Goodwill Industries, York Steak House and Shoppers Choice.
Susan enjoyed watching her grandchildren, reading, cross stitching and working on crossword puzzles.
Susan was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people that her husband Mike had known. When something or someone mattered to her totally, she would give that thing or person her love and total commitment, and that was it. She is now in Heavenly Paradise, dancing and singing freely while saying, "I see Jesus!" To have known her, loved her, and felt her love, was to be especially blessed. Goodbye, my beautiful lady.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael C. Ridgeway, whom she married June 6, 1981; a son, Daniel Ridgeway; daughter, Danielle Ridgeway; four grandchildren, Shawna, Noah, Brycen and Zachary; brother, David Ohlemacher; sister, Esther Frasher; adopted sister, Rhea Gessner; nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews; and special sons, daughters and friends that were like family to her.
There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at a later date at Fathers Heart Family Church, Sandusky. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in Susan's memory.
