Colt King, 52, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, in University Hospital in Cleveland following a lengthy illness.
Colt was born Jan. 30, 1961, in Sandusky. Colt retired after several years as an environmental director at several area nursing homes.
He enjoyed spending time at his camper, fishing, visiting with all his friends, and riding his golf cart with his wife Rosa. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, they were his life.
Colt is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rosa (Fallen) King; two sons, Brian King and William Beatty III; grandchildren, Tiana King, whom he and his wife raised, William Beatty IV, Britney King, Amber King, Connor Beatty and Kaylee Eskins; brothers, Bobby (Diana), Jason (Vicky) King, and Freddie (Janey) Duncil; sisters, Tammy Martinez, Teresa Rhode, Tina Garrett and Joyce Duncil; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Christine (Morrison) King; mother, Laura Sue Duncil; and his sister, Diana Duncil.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, until services at 1 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Steve Atkins will officiate.
