Anita K. Travis, 73, of Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, June 21, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer.
Anita was born Oct. 27, 1939, in Albright, W.Va., daughter of the late Ercil and Clara (Roy) Sleeth.
She was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior and an active member of The Chapel in Sandusky for the last 20 years.
Anita was an avid reader, an extremely talented quilter and an outstanding cook. Most of all she enjoyed sharing her faith and encouraging others.
Anita is survived by her beloved children, Richard Travis of Huron, Susan Travis of Bellevue, and Robert Travis of New London; grandchildren, Harmony, Amberly, Sami (Tyler) and Bradley (Cassidy); and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her siblings, William Sleeth and Shirley (Sleeth) Glover.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. Pastor Bill Schroeder will preside. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
