Karen Crockett, 50, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born March 1, 1959, in Norton, Va., the daughter of Glenn F. and Laura (Payne) Wiswell. Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Crockett of Bellevue; daughters, Lori (Scott) Rust of Clyde and Melissa (Keith) Zonker of Bellevue; four grandchildren; father and stepmother, Glenn F. and Julia Wiswell of Clyde; brothers, William (Evelyn) Wiswell of Castalia, Toby (Rachel) Wiswell of Clyde, Jim (Ruth) Wiswell of Bellevue, Jeff Wiswell of Fremont, Allen Owens, Brian David Owens and Brian Reed, all of Clyde; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jean Hartman, Tracy Patten and Lee Daugherty, all from Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura (Payne) Wiswell; brothers, Glenn Wiswell and Ken Wiswell; and a very special cousin, Katherin Bevins.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, officiated by the Rev. William Wiswell. Burial will follow in York Chapel Cemetery.
