Delores Evans, 64, of Sandusky, passed away Friday morning, June 14, 2013, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Feb. 27, 1949, in Waynesboro, Miss., to Velma and Eloise (Jordan) Evans.
Delores was a very kind and loving person. She loved to garden, was a big sports fan, and loved spending time with her family. Delores loved helping others any way she could.
She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Tosha (Bruce) Johnson, Sandusky; son, Tracy (Tina) Evans, North Carolina; grandchildren, Owein, Kendall, Elijuh, Essence, Tyler, Ayden, and Rylan; brother, Velma Evans Jr., Minneapolis; sisters, Betty Bell, Inetta (Jerry Stovall) Marshall, Gloria (Butch) Keys, all of Sandusky, and Diane (Leon) Jones, Minneapolis; aunts, Airy Blakely, Willie Young, and Vietta Smith; uncle, Emmerson “Kit” Jordan; special cousin, Catherine Nix; several other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Rozetta Evans.
Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 224 Dixie Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
