William L. “Bill” Stark, 97, of Castalia, died Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Castalia and was a graduate of Margaretta High School. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, serving with the 118th Signal Radio Intelligence Company. He was a bus driver for Margaretta Public Schools for 27 years, retiring in 1975. He also owned and operated Bill’s Carryout in Castalia for many years.
Bill was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Anna (Steler) Stark; one brother, Lawrence Stark; and four sisters, Leona “Dom” Krueger, Pearl Ontal, Frances Smith and Dorothy Fletcher.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services and cremation has taken place.
Inurnment will be in Castalia Cemetery.
