Betty Marie Roth, 86, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born May 14, 1927, in Reed, Ohio, to Edward and Rose (Walliser) Schreiner. She married Marion C. Roth on Nov. 23, 1950, at Reed Assumption Church. He preceded her in death in 2004.
She was a 1945 graduate of Attica High School and worked for 17 years at General Electric Bellevue Lamp Plant.
She was member of Immaculate Conception Church, its Altar Society, and St Jude’s Study Club.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, baking chocolate chip cookies, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her green thumb and tending to her plants.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Jean) Roth and Bruce (Sue) Roth, all of Bellevue; four daughters, Barb (Jerry) Ritchey, of Clyde, Pat (Denny) Dumminger, of Fremont, Sandy (Dave) Ebert, of Sandusky, and Linda (Alan Jr.) Prosser, of Bellevue; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Foos, of Attica.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Prosser, and her sister, Martha J. Ruffing.
Friends will be received 2-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
