Robert S. Zuk, 78, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2013, after a brief illness.
Robert was born May 24, 1935, in Cleveland, son of the late Adam and Mary (Palivoda) Zuk. Robert graduated from Wakeman High School and attended Cleveland Engineering Institute. Robert retired as owner and operator of Bob’s furniture repair, and was employed as an engineer at TRW.
He attended The Chapel Sandusky. Robert was a volunteer fireman, avid fisherman, Boy Scout leader, stock car driver, and truly enjoyed carving for the Merry Go Round Museum.
Robert is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary (McCall) Zuk; daughter, Sherri (Heidy) Zuk; sons, Steve (Faye) Zuk, Bill (Terrie) Ehrnsberger and Scott (Jane) Ehrnsberger; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Zuk and David Zuk; sisters, Dorothy Scheid and Betty (Cloyce) Fitch; the McCall family; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Zuk, and sisters-in-law, Sheila and Nora Zuk.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, and from 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, until services at 11 a.m. at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky.
