LaVerne V. Wagner, 95, of Huron, died Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Lakewood, Ohio, and has been a resident of Huron since the 1990s. She worked for Norwalk Truck Lines, for many years as a PBX operator until 1963.
She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Huron.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Garner, of Norwalk; a grandchild, Kempton Swartwood, of Norwalk; a great-granddaughter, Macy Elizabeth; a niece, Debbie Ragan, of Flushing, Mich.; nephew, Greg (Janine) Smith, of Flushing; great-nieces, Denise (Terry) Coon and Tami Swain; and a great-nephew, Trevor Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; her parents, Wilson and Violet (Rix) Hart; and a sister, Bette Smith.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, until a service at 1 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron. Pastor Nicole Cooper will officiate. Entombment will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
