Jan Ommert, 66, of Clyde, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, in the University of Toledo Medical Center.
She was born July 11, 1946, in Tacoma, Wash., to her birth mother, Doris Welch, and her foster parents, Noah and Jacquie Ingram.
Janice was a cook for the Bellevue School District. She was a member of TOPS, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading and playing cards but loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Ommert, whom she married March 18, 1967, in Stockton, Calif.; daughters, Kerry (Larry) Phillips, of Wooster, Ohio, and Stacy (Philip) Smith and Jodie (Dana) Brown, of Bellevue; 11 grandchildren; brother, John Marlowe; and sisters, Susan Yates and April Wall.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. Thursday, May 23, until a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Bellevue Alliance Church, 1001 Monroe St., Bellevue. Pastor Michael Alcorn will officiate.
