Jane Cribbs Linden

Jane Cribbs Linden, 96, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, in The Commons of Providence Memory Care Center. 

Jane was born June 28, 1916, in Jeannette, Pa., a daughter of the late Ira Irvin and Edna Viola Prussia Cribbs. She married David E Linden Sr. on Sept. 14, 1935.

She graduated from Rayen High School, Youngstown, Ohio, in 1934 and received her BSE degree from Kent State University in September of 1964. Jane was an elementary school teacher and taught in the Warren City Schools Devon Elementary from 1957-64, Forest Park School in Winston-Salem, N.C., for eight years, Warren Christian School for four years and was a member of the Trumbull County Retired Teachers Association.

Loving memories will be carried on by her son and his wife, David and Charlene Linden, of Sandusky; son-in-law, Robert Pitzer, of Pheonix, Ariz.: six grandchildren, David Bradford and Michaela Linden, of Sandusky, Cheryl Marie (Dr. Todd) Csorba, of Hudson, Ohio, Douglas Brett, of Sandusky, Kristin Ann (Kevin) Cordner, of Brookfield, Ohio, Dr. Jeffrey Robert & Joy Pitzer, of Arbor Vitae, Wis., and Elaine Kay (James) Spencer of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Edna Cribbs and Minnie Blose, of Niles, Ohio; and 13 great-grandchildren, Sydney Pitzer, Rachel Cordner, Lauren Cordner, Catherine Linden, Caroline Linden, David Linden, Alex Csorba, Andrew Linden, Taylor Linden, Morgan Linden, Chloe Csorba, Sara Wenner and Carolyn Wenner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Linden, Sr., who passed away Jan. 8, 1993; a daughter, Jane Linden Pitzer; her parents; two brothers, John and Irvin Cribbs; three sisters, Elizabeth Ann Cribbs, Jerry Cribbs and Kathleen Zezzo; and one great-grandson, Jonathan Cordner.

Friends may call from  noon until Tuesday, May 14, until services at 1 p.m. at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. David Snyder will officiate. Jane will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio.
