Thomas A. Gosser, 46, of Huron, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born July 1, 1966, in Sandusky, graduated from Sandusky St. Mary's in 1984, and moved to Huron in 2000.
Tom was an avid bowler. He coached baseball for many years with the Huron Baseball/Softball program and coached his son Brian's middle school bowling team. He also loved to play golf. He was a huge sports fanatic, particularly for the Raiders, Orioles, Columbus Blue Jackets, Cavs, and Tony Stewart!
He is a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, treasurer and sponsor representative for the Huron Baseball/Softball Program, employed by Vacationland Federal Credit Union for the past 18 years, and was part owner to Gosser Bros. Screen Printing shop in Huron.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Christine (Rotruck) Gosser; sons, Kevin Thomas Gosser and Brian William Gosser; parents, Dorothy Ann and Loren Gosser Jr.; in-laws, Norm and Marty Rotruck; brothers, Loren "Babe" (Michele) Gosser III, of Bellevue, Christopher Gosser, of Castalia, and Joey Gosser Sr., of Arlington, Tenn.; nieces, Ashlee and Amber Gosser; nephew, Joseph Gosser Jr.; and niece, Allie McKinney.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Alice B. and Loren Gosser Sr.; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Arthur Riedy; uncle, James J. Gosser Sr.; and brother-in-law, Scott R. Rotruck.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron. A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron.
