Ronald R. Konst, 79, of Bellevue passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, in The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., the son of the late Clarence and Ruby (Koch) Konst. Ron was a retired truck driver for Zehner Packing and was the owner of Konst Cleaning. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, K of C, Eagles Aerie 490, St. Vincent DePaul Society and a former trustee of The Historic Lyme Village.
He enjoyed music, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and refinishing furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Frey) Konst, whom he married Nov. 24, 1953, in Kirby, Ohio; sons, Eric Konst of Phoenix, Ariz., and Neil Konst of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters, Denise (Ron) Hansen of Frankenmuth, Mich., Renee Ziegler of Galloway, Ohio, Rhonda (Brad) Hays of Summerville, S.C., and Sara (Chris) Lawson of Bellevue; 11 loving grandchildren; brothers, Frank and Terry Konst, both of Bellevue; and sister, Sally Williams of Berlin Heights.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Konst.
Friends will be received 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, with the Rosary recited at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
