Donny Ray Dix Sr., 64, Sandusky, died Saturday morning, April 27, 2013, in his residence.
He was born on April 23, 1949, in Victor, W.Va., and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1967.
Donny retired from West End Land Development, Westlake, Ohio, where he was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his son, Donny R. (Melanie) Dix Jr. of Castalia; daughters, Monica Dix-Moore of Castalia, and Steffani (Joe) Dauch of Clyde; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Merry Eve (Tim) May of Fremont, and Brenda (Tim) Townsend of Lakeland, Fla.; brother, Kevin (Dianne) Dix of Sandusky; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his dog, Pete.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Dix; mother, Janice (Young) Kastor; and a brother, David Kastor.
Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Master’s Hand Church of God, 7410 Magill Rd., Castalia. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the church, Pastor Ben Patrick will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Parkhurst Cemetery.
