Kenneth A. Bickley, 57, of Sandusky, passed away late Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 14, 1956, in Sandusky, son of the late Martin Logan and Lucille Marie (Beat) Bickley. He was a 1975 graduate of Northwest High School in Indianapolis. Ken was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He was recently employed by Ventra Inc.
Ken was an avid fisherman and his true love was bass fishing, having entered and competed in several tournaments throughout the years.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Bickley; four daughters, Melissa, Laurie, Karen and Jennifer Bickley, all of Massachusetts; a grandson, Stanley "Logie" Bickley; sister, Karen Sutherland, of Sandusky; two brothers, Martin "Chip" Bickley, of Indianapolis, and Scott Bickley, of Chicago; and special cousin, Sharon Woodburn, of Huron.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, until a memorial service at 3 p.m. at David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870.
