Marcella M. “Sally” Huffman, 91, of Bellevue, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, in the Willows at Bellevue.
She was born in Reed, Ohio, daughter of the late Clements and Bertha Ruffing.
She married Ralph Huffman on Nov. 21, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2003.
Sally was a well-known local seamstress, doing alterations, making doll clothes and teddy bears for many years.
She and her late husband also restored several hundred old trunks as a hobby. She was member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Altar Rosary Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Schart, of Green Valley, Ariz., Cynthia (Lowell J.) Scheid, of Curtice, Ohio, Patricia (Michael) Stevens, of Norwalk, Brenda (Jack) Ziegler, of Republic, and Rhonda (Thomas) Joseph, of Bellevue; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Ann (Robert) Niedermier and Marlene (William) Cleland, of Attica.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter; her parents; brothers, Sylvester, Richard, and Wilbur Ruffing, and sisters, Verna Mae Sanger and Norma Echelberry.
Friends will be received 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the Rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to, Fish and Loaves or Memorial Hospice.
