Moses Page Sr., 89, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2013, in his residence.
He was born on July 29, 1923, in Taylorsville, Miss., to Archie and Grace (Milsap) Page.
Moses was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, worked at Rubie Fisheries and retired from Sandusky Dressed Beef.
He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where he sang in the male chorus. Moses loved the Lord and going to church, he loved listening and watching gospel videos, spending time with family, his church family, and his AA group of friends.
Moses was married to Braddis for 55 years, and to that union they were blessed with children, Moses (Marie) Page Jr., Lewis (Dorothy) Page, Carolyn “Deana” Sandridge, John Page, Florence “Jan” Collins, Douglas “Johnnye” Page, and Gloria (Marshall) Graves; 27 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two special great-grandchildren; and special friends, Annie Wright and Elizabeth Ruffin.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Robert Page; grandson, Daryl Sandridge; sister, Elizabeth Page Gilliam; brothers, Ed Page, Willie Page, and Benjamin Page.
Friends may call 11 a.m-1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Providence Baptist Church, 224 Dixie Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church, the Rev. Scottie Aaron will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
