Evaden E. (Keegan) Dee of Sandusky, passed away Friday evening, April 19, 2013, in the Lutheran Memorial Home.
She was born on May 9, 1913, in Vickery, Ohio, and attended Townsend School, where she was outstanding in soccer and track. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, bowling, and playing golf and cards.
Evaden is survived by a daughter, Carol Dee, of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren, Dee Conti and Monte Tucker of Sandusky, Nancy (Dave) Roth of Fremont, Kathy McClure of Cornelius, N.C., David, John (May) and Kevin McClure of Sandusky, Ann McClure of Seville, Ohio, Peg Ridings of Pittsburgh, Dan (Denise) McClure of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary (Steve Schmidgall) Mick of Carbondale, Ill., Joe (Lindsay) McClure of Philadelphia, and Michael McClure of Bryan, Ohio; 33 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren, with the expected arrival of two additions; a sister, Kathryn Meifert of Norwalk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John Dee, on April 28,1977; her daughter, Mary Kay Dee, on Nov. 3, 2007; a grandson, Steven Tucker, on Aug. 19, 2012; four great-grandchildren; her parents, Effi and Mary (Yeckley) Keegan; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille (Carl) Doe, Vernal (Charles) Stein, and Evelyn (Pete) Lange; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerold (Agnes), Ernest (Loretta), Lloyd (Helen), and Kenneth (Amelia), three additional brothers in infancy; and a brother-in-law, Ed Meifert.
Family and friends will be received at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, until funeral services at 3 p.m., at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
