Lenny E. Nickles, 49, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his residence with his family at his side.
He was born April 9, 1964, in Sandusky. He attended EHOVE Career Center and graduated from Western Reserve High School. He worked at Janesville in Norwalk for 18 years, and enjoyed fishing, his “red pop”, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his grandchild. He was an avid outdoorsman, horseshoe and darts player and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his wife, Diana L. (Schnell) Nickles, of Norwalk; daughter, Amber (Gary) Brooks; grandson, Quentin; stepson, Michael Ezell; and stepgrandson, Nolan Ezell; mother, Patricia (Semprich) Nickles, of Norwalk; sister, Tonya (Nickles) and Scott Gross; brothers, Anthony “Butch” Nickles, of Arizona, John and Blyndia Nickles, of Collins, George and Michelle Nickles, of Tennessee; special friends, Barbara Ann and Glenn Ledwell of Virginia; uncle, Mike Cambra, of Norwalk; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Nickles, in 2010; grandson, Mikey Ezell, in 2008; and mother-in-law, Wanda Schnell, in 2012.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, and the Rev. Joel Cappizzi, pastor of Norwalk Baptist Church, will officiate.
