Marceal J. Crotty, 90, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Huron, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, in Ocala Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Bellevue, daughter of the late Harry and Lollie Richards. Marceal was the youngest of nine children, four brothers and four sisters. She graduated from Bellevue High School in the Class of 1941.
On Dec. 1, 1949, Marceal married the love of her life, Austin B. Crotty, and moved to Monroeville. With her love for children, she went to nursing school in Sandusky, then to Duke University where she specialized in pediatric nursing. She worked at Memorial Hospital in Sandusky until both she and Austin retired. They traveled in their motor home each winter to Florida and spent the rest of the year in Huron at their Lake Erie home.
She moved to Ocala 12 years ago, where she enjoyed traveling and going out to eat with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri (David) Berger, of Ocala; and a grandson, Austin Berger.
She he was preceded in death by her husband Austin on Jan. 11, 1985; her parents and siblings. Now they are all together again.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m Saturday, April 13, 2013 at at Meadowgreen Mausoleum, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron. The Rev. Jonathan Wight will officiate. Entombment will be at Meadowgreen Mausoleum.
