Andrew David Demshok, 90, of Oak Harbor, died early Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013, at his son's residence with his loving family by his side.
Andrew was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Belle Valley, Ohio, to George P. and Mary M. (Kauffman) Demshok and graduated in 1941 from Danbury High School.
On March 3, 1962, in Sandusky, he married Joyce L. Dillery and she preceded him in death in November 2006.
After 43 years Andrew retired in 1984 as a supervisor from Standard Products.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Oak Harbor. Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to stay busy and would always be found tinkering with something.
He is survived by his sons, Andy (Christine) Demshok, of Oak Harbor, David (Betty Lou) Kinnison and Mark Kinnison, of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Kenny Kinnison, of Port Clinton; a daughter, Annette (Larry) Butler, of Texas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Joseph (Charlotte) Demshok. of Marblehead.
Andrew was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Connie Hammons; parents; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 12, by the Rev. Father David Ritchie at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor, beginning with prayers offered at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, with military graveside services.
