June E. Chapman, 81, of Marblehead, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, in her residence, with her family by her side.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1931, in Holbrook, Mass., the daughter of Burton and Mildred (Hannon) White. On Dec. 13, 1949, she married Vernon Chapman and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1970.
June previously worked as a short order cook at the Peninsula Restaurant until her retirement in 1996. Her family was very important to her, and she was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Bob Chapman of Marblehead, Terry (Cindy) Chapman of Sandusky, and Ron (Karla) Chapman of Marblehead; daughters, Karen (Simon) Stamper of Cornville, Maine, and Tami Chapman of Marblehead; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Kellerhales of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Robert White.
There will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place. Private graveside services and burial in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township will be held at a later date.
