Johnnie William “Darren” Gresham, 31, of Sandusky, departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2013, in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus following a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 27, 1981, in Sandusky, and was a 2,000 graduate of Sandusky High School.
He was a member of Assembly of Jesus Christ Church in Sandusky and his favorite pastime was rehabbing old houses.
Johnnie will be sadly missed by his wife, Latrina R. (Moore) Gresham; two sons, Johnnie W. Gresham Jr. and Davon A. Gresham, of Sandusky; his mother, Marguerite A. Irby, of Sandusky; father, Edward A. Gresham, of Cleveland; brothers, Edward Gresham Jr., of Tampa, Fla., Darcel Irby, of Pendleton Ind., and Djuan Seavers and William S. Irby Jr., of Sandusky; sisters, Brittany Seavers, of Sandusky, and Ceressia Gresham, of Fort Myers, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Pastor Johnnie W. and Janet Cross, of Sandusky; paternal grandmothers, Ceressia Gresham, of Cleveland, and Bernice Irby, of Sandusky; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Willie Steve Irby; aunts, Crystal Cross and Phyllis Gresham; and paternal grandfathers, Edward Gresham and Lamon Irby.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Assembly of Jesus Christ, 3510 Beatty Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will beat noon Saturday, April 6. Pastor Johnnie W. Cross Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery & Memorial Park, Sandusky.
