Barbara E. "Barb" (Jacalone) Rogers, 93, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, April 3, 2013, in Portland House, Sandusky.
She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Sandusky, daughter of the late William and Nancy (Gambina) Jacalone. She was a1937 graduate of Sandusky High.
Barb was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, and working on puzzles. In her earlier days, crocheting, cooking, ceramics, and all sorts of crafts.
She is survived by a son, David (Cathy) Rogers, of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Tracy and Daniel; a sister, Josephine Creston, of Sandusky.
Barb was preceded in death by her her husband, Donald L. "Don" Rogers on Jan. 16, 2011; a daughter in-infancy, Mary Ann Rogers; parents; and sister, Beatrice Schieber.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:40 a.m. Monday, April 8, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
