Kenneth A. Rose, 64, of Port Clinton, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born Dec. 1, 1948, in Port Clinton, to Claude and Alberta (Schell) Rose.
On Feb. 21, 1981, in St. John Lutheran Church, he married Marcia O’Neal and she survives.
Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked in sales at the H. Poll Electric Co. in Sandusky for 15 years.
Kenneth was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was an avid Ohio State fan. Kenneth loved golfing, fishing and cooking for his family, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Marcia Rose; daughter, Kendra (Dan Segel) Rose; son, Kenneth M. “Mike” (Reba) Rose; step-daughter, Kimberly (Todd) Taylor; grandchildren, Owen, Elle and Tate Segel, Brayden and Kailee Rose, Ashley and Brittany Taylor; sister, Kathy (Kevin) Hesselbart; stepmother, Eloise Tyren: OSU buddies, Mark Harnisch and Harold Brandt; and Kenny’s cats, Sweetie and Baby Girl.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton. Funeral service, conducted by the Rev. James Lehman, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 06, at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton.
Memorial donations in memory of Kenneth may be given to the “Home Away from Home” at St. Vincent Hospital, 2213 Cherry St., Toledo, OH 43608 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
