Tracy Allen Jones, 51, of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, surrounded by his family at his home.
He was born May 10, 1961, in Fremont, to Paul M. Jones and Kathryn “Katie” (Grover) Smith. He attended Clyde High School and earned his GED in 1997.
Tracy served in the U.S. Army from 197-82 and received the Army Service Ribbon, Marksman (Pistol) and Driver Badge with T Bar. He was employed at Whirlpool Corporation for 29 years until he retired on May 1, 2012.
Tracy was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, boating and camping with his family and friends. He was the most loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Tracy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1997. He also loved to spend time with his boxer and beloved friend Malaki.
Tracy married Kim (Ritchart) Jones on Sept. 28, 1984, in Fremont, and she survives. They raised two wonderful sons, Bryan Paul Jones (deceased) and Brandon Tracy Jones, of Fremont. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathaniel Paul Barnett and Chloe Rose Jones, both of Fremont; mother and step father, Kathryn “Katie” and Ralph Smith, of Clyde; siblings, Belinda (Don) Logan and Steve (Nancy) Jones, of Fremont, and Suzie Webster, of Oregon; father-in-law, Ray Ritchart Jr., mother-in-law, Judy Reidling, grandmother, Alberta Ritchart, and siblings-in-law, Sherry (Karen) Keller and Ron (Loria) Ritchart, all of Fremont, Julie Aldrich, of Toledo and David Ritchart, of Clyde; stepsisters, Traci, Tonya and Trina, all of Winter Haven, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Paul Jones; father, Paul Jones; sister, Peggy Jones; maternal grandmother, Edith Grover; paternal grandparents, Wallace Jones and Delores Kaiser; and aunt, Gladys Borowsky.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday March 29, and from noon Saturday, March 30, until funeral services at 1 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont.Pastor Jody Rice will officiate. Burial will be at McGormley Cemetery, Fremont.
